And more pictures!

Hey everyone! Today we had a chance in the afternoon a lot more photo's than we could this morning so here's some updated set's of photo's from the two worksites and the evening ice cream party that, by the way, was in the dark since the electricity decided not to play nice for awhile. Enjoy!

  1. You guys are pounding it out there! Keep working hard. The pictures continue to be great as well. It looks like you are all having lots of fun...even in the rain. I can't wait to hear all about the memories you guys are making.

    Lots of love and prayers!

  2. So I've been stalking you all quietly for the past few days, but couldn't resist a comment after looking through all of the newest pics. Looks like you guys are having quite the amazingly spectacularly mud-tastic week. I can't tell you how proud of each of you I am, pressing in to whatever you're doing through the sun and rain, whether with construction or through connecting with the kids... looks like you are having quite the full days. As the week continues on and exhaustion creeps in, just remember that you are making a greater impact than you'll ever realize. Praying for more energy than you'll imagine possible. Have I said yet just how proud of all of you I am??? Because I am :)

Oh and Miss Olivia Rae, Madeline Kay, and Sarah Marie... you best be treating Huffy well this week.... Be nice to her. Oh and love the braids. Don't burn your heads tho!!! Oh and sorry Sarah, but I guessed your middle name... was I right??? Liv and Maddie... you haven't cracked out the hairspray/bugspray/anything-that-sprays yet, have you? You may have to show Sarah and Huffy how to end the week with some sticky spectacularness.

And my dearest team, I'm not quite sure how I'll ever survive tomorrow... heading to SWAT all by my lonesome... Shoot, I may just even have to have a lonely lunch at Chipotle in honor of you all (not really, that sounds too depressing)... miss you all and praying for you like crazy. DC, I sat with Brooke at church this weekend... your wife is amazing. Just saying.

Okay, I'm done for now. Love you all. ---- Steph Rorie

  4. Looks like a Great Trip! Glad to see you all are teaching my daughter some marketable skills. i have a garage that needs rebuilding when she gets home. : )

Seriously looks like you are all putting in a lot of hard work on the building projects, and are giving out a lot of love on those kids too. What a great experience. We are all very proud of you, and will continue praying for your strength and health. Looks like you are all being great models of Christ to the children and All those who are working beside you.

And to my daughter in particular...good job Kid! i'm always proud of you, this just adds yet another reason to my list. You look great in work gloves too! Much Love and Kisses, Sam's Dad

  6. Yahoo! Pictures, pictures, pictures! You know, here in the pampered, softee, spoiled USofA - we'd quit work when it rains like a gully-gusher. Not you guys, oh no! Looks like that's when you really get busy! You go!

The story we imagined and created while cruising through 4 days of pics probably only captured half the story we'll hear in a few days. Looks like you're all connecting as a team, loving on children like Jesus does and working like you know it matters. We're proud of all of you.

And, Liv - my AppleTV is scrolling pics of you while typing this note. I know, cover your face and blush...but, it's what we do. Pray for you, wonder what you're up to from hour to hour and imagine you're right where you want to be. We're getting a little rain here tonight. And, of course, we're safely inside - dry and in the air conditioning. Spoiled. We sure love you and miss you!

DC, John, Katie, Huffy, Jeff, John and other leaders - thanks for investing in our kids. We have total trust in your leadership, your modeling of Jesus and your care of our students!

    Praying for you all!

  7. Cory - Wow... looks like you have some GIGANTIC mosquito bites on your leg! About time to break out the bug spray don't you think? Hmmm....too bad all of your anti maleria meds ended up "everywhere" but in your system:)

The pic of you playing with the little boy definately warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes!! Proud as a mamma peacock I am:)

It is storming pretty heavily here right now with lots of wind and lightening (although your dog and Dad are having a snoring contest right now so I can't tell if that is thunder or them) I praise God even more now looking at all of the pictures that I have a dry and warm place to sleep and that tomorrow I won't have to wade through or drive through a bunch of mud to get to work. Thanks for giving me a new perspective on life and the things that I take for granted each day!

I am guessing your futon bed doesn't sound so bad right now huh:) and possibly even being able to drive your Dodge Neon (I drive a Dodge "Neon" said in Will Farrel's voice:D)

You guys are like the energizer bunny on steriods....it is unbelievably humid and you keep going, it pours down rain and you keep going, the electricity goes out and you keep going, the bus gets stuck and you keep going, the truck runs out of gas and you keep going, the kids need loved and you keep loving and the Nicaraguan people need served and you keep serving!!

I pray that you all sleep well, comfortably, cool and dry tonight and that you wake up tomorrow refreshed and renewed and ready to give it your all for Jesus once again!

With prayers, praise and much love - Mom a.k.a Kathy Wonderly
